Accelerating Additive Manufacturing with process automation and integration – Presented by Harry Kleijnen, Additive Industries

Harry Kleijnen, Additive Industries will speak at AM Integrated Factory Conference, on April 17, 2019, during 3D Printing Event in The Netherlands.

Todays end to end additive manufacturing production processes are characterized by many separated process steps requiring intensive manual labour and complex planning processes.

For series production of parts this way of working will be too costly and is prone to errors jeopardizing overall equipment efficiency. In his presentation Harry Kleijnen will elaborate on Additive Industries vision and solutions for integrated and automated additive manufacturing.

In addition he also will present the environment to for the end-user to monitor Overall Equipment Efficiency as driver for continuous improvement in an end to end additive manufacturing process environment.

Interview

What drives you?

Driving the Additive Manufacturing Technology to large volume industrial production

Why should the delegate attend your presentation?

Gathering insights in drivers to change from prototyping to industrial metal AM printing

What emerging technologies/trends do you see as having the greatest potential in the short and long run?

Software tooling for first time right build simulation, process reliability increase by in-situ monitoring and productivity increase / cost down with increased print output

What kind of impact do you expect them to have?

Increased innovation speed, improved performance, reduced waste and natural resource consumption

What are the barriers that might stand in the way?

Awareness of AM potential. Availability software tooling supporting first time right printing and addressing DfX (e.g. design for post-processing, design for powder removel) requirements.

“Special Quote”

Automation and integration in drives productivity and cost down in Additive Manufacturing
